Overview
HealthMax Home Health Care is a family-owned and operated company serving the Twin Cities, St. Cloud, Coon Rapids, and Minneapolis, MN. We are regionally recognized for providing unique, personalized care that keeps clients safe and independent in their own homes. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team and support individuals with daily living needs. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering care that reflects our mission of safety, dignity, and independence.
Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enrich clients’ lives.
Support clients with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or autism.
Monitor and report changes in client condition, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Prepare meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences.
Maintain a clean, safe living environment through light housekeeping.
Assist with mobility support and safe transfers (including use of Hoyer lifts).
Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals.
Engage clients in activities that promote social connection and mental stimulation.
Requirements
Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or caregiving preferred.
Ability to lift and support clients with mobility needs.
CPR/First Aid certification a plus.
Familiarity with HIPAA and client confidentiality.
Compassionate demeanor, patience, and excellent communication skills.
Experience with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs is highly valued.
