**Role Overview:**
As an Associate Buyer, you will collaborate with diverse vendors to curate an optimal product mix for both in-store and online platforms. You will manage a wide range of SKUs, ensuring a dynamic and challenging work environment. Your role involves executing advertising plans, analyzing market trends, evaluating competitors, planning assortments, and coordinating promotional activities. You will support Buyers with system inputs and generate reports to analyze category metrics. Working closely with product design and sourcing, you will guide product development and execute financial plans. Your strategic insights will be crucial in maximizing sales and profit.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Execute advertising strategies for your category.
– Monitor market trends and evaluate competitors.
– Plan assortments and coordinate promotional activities.
– Support Buyers with system inputs and markdown updates.
– Generate reports for weekly and monthly category analysis.
– Collaborate with cross-functional partners and manage vendor communication.
**Qualifications:**
– A four-year degree or equivalent experience.
– Strong financial, strategic, and planning skills.
– Entrepreneurial spirit with analytical and decision-making abilities.
– Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative.
– Flexibility and resilience in dynamic environments.
– Comfortable with risk-taking and supporting creative initiatives.
– Preferred: 1+ years of merchandising experience.
**Work Arrangement:**
This position operates under a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day model, requiring both onsite and virtual work based on role and team needs. Duties must be performed within the country of the primary work location unless otherwise specified by Target.
