Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Lead repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of canning line machinery, including conveyors, fillers, seamers, labelers, and related equipment to ensure maximum uptime and production efficiency.
· Perform preventive maintenance and mechanical adjustments on all canning room systems to minimize downtime during production runs.
· Support maintenance of auxiliary production areas and equipment as directed.
· Participate in planning and executing maintenance budgets, parts ordering, and cost control measures.
· Supervise and train seasonal maintenance employees during production cycles.
· Assist with pack season changeovers, line setup, and tear-down as needed.
· Foster positive employee relations and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Plant Manager.
Qualifications:
· Proven mechanical aptitude with strong equipment repair and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in repair documentation and maintenance records.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
· Experience with canning or food processing lines preferred
· Two-year technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical, industrial, or food production maintenance preferred.
· Willingness to work extended or flexible hours during peak production seasons.
